Staff
Fran Ryan CEO

Fran joined Impact on Education in July 2010 and is responsible for providing the leadership to enhance program excellence, broaden community involvement and advance initiatives through advocacy efforts. She is responsible for the financial health of the organization and for being a good steward of the legacy of the organization.
Fran has over 30 years of senior management experience within the private and non-profit sectors. She has devoted her volunteer time over the last 20 years towards work to enhance learning for all children. She co-founded the Parent Engagement Network and served as Project Director of THRIVE, a guide for parents providing information and resources about current topics impacting the health and wellness of our youth. Fran was recognized on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll in 2008 for the work accomplished on THRIVE.
Fran has participated on the Community Food Share Board of Directors where she was chair of the capital campaign. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties and the YMCA of Boulder County. She was the 1996 Daily Camera Pacesetter in Education and is past chair of the Douglass Elementary and Platt Middle School School Improvemet Teams (SIT) and past chair of the District Accountability Committee (DAC).
Fran holds a BA from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Regis College. Fran has two children who graduated from Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado.
Sharon Fullner Business Manager

Sharon became a member of the Impact on Education team in February of 2011. She brings with her a strong background in administrative management. This CU Boulder alumni and Arizona native loves living in Colorado. In her spare time you can usually find Sharon bicycling and enjoying the great outdoors of the Centennial State.
Louise Garrels Marketing & Communications Manager

Louise joined Impact On Education in August of 2009. Her career and non-profit experience have helped cultivate a strong skill set for supporting Impact On Education’s marketing and communications efforts. As a BVSD parent, her work here at Impact on Education dovetails nicely into her personal mission of making BVSD the optimal environment for 21st century learning. Louise believes strongly in being active in her community and volunteers regularly. This Southern California native and her family (husband, Bill, and sons, John and Danny) are big fans of Boulder’s outdoor, active lifestyle and enjoy all that the community has to offer.
Amy Lee Programs & Outreach Coordinator

A graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Amy joined Impact on Education in August of 2010. Amy has a passion for education fostered by a long family history in the profession. Her parents have worked in BVSD for a number of years and she attended BVSD schools until graduating from Monarch High School. She is looking forward to meeting the everyday challenges of Impact on Education by combining her marketing skills with her passion for education. Amy loves skiing, traveling and hanging out with family and friends in her free time.

Kate Fisher, Marketing Associate

Kate joined the Impact on Education team in December of 2010 as a Marketing Assistant. She previously worked at a family assistant non-profit organization located in North Boulder and before that worked as a Para-educator for the BVSD School District. She has a strong passion for children and their well-being. She loves being a part of the non-profit world and is very excited to have the opportunity to impact this great community. On her free time, Kate spends time with friends and family, creates art, and enjoys the Colorado Mountains
