Classroom Innovation Grants
The Classroom Innovation Grant (CIG) program (formerly known as Classroom Mini-Grant program) is a signature program of Impact on Education. For over 25 years, Impact on Education has funded innovative classroom projects that enhance the learning environment through the use of hands-on activities, technology, and other advanced ways to engage the student.
Impact on Education creates this opportunity to encourage teachers to innovate and explore new instructional tools. Teachers report that the positive recognition received through this program is rewarding.
Last year, we piloted a showcase event to give teachers an opportunity to exhibit their innovative and creative projects, to share their projects with their peers around the district, and to showcase the work to our donors and school communities. This year, the showcase will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, 4:00-5:30 pm at the BVSD Education Center and we encourage all donors to attend!
The number of grants we distribute always correlates to the number of donors that direct their contributions to this wonderful program! If you are interested in donating to underwrite the cost of a Classroom Innovation Grant or two, the process is a simple. For each teacher’s grant that you would like to underwrite, we suggest a donation of $750.00.
You can donate online by clicking here, select “Program” under “Where do you want these funds to be directed, and include “CIG” in the space provided for comments or special instructions.
Cash or check donations can be made to Impact on Education, 728 Front Street, Suite A, Louisville, CO 80027. Be sure to note CIG in the memo line of check payments.
