1. Responding to the Marshall Fire
January 5, 2022
The magnitude of the Marshall Fire tragedy was unimaginable, but so was our community’s willingness to help. In less than a week after the fire we raised over $200,000 from over 400 supporters through our Critical Needs Fund. Those dollars were immediately deployed to fund the distribution of backpacks, headphones and school supplies to nearly 600 students at 22 affected schools in BVSD.

We placed over $50,000 of assistance into the hands of community liaisons, those who work most closely with BVSD students and families in financial need, in the form of youth bus passes, mindfulness books, and gift cards.
