When families face difficult financial decisions or tradeoffs, such as buying groceries or school supplies, it can impact a student’s success in the classroom and in life. Ensuring every student has access to school supplies creates equitable classrooms across all grade-levels.
Our annual school supply distribution, Crayons to Calculators BVSD, provides age-appropriate school supplies, headphones, and a new backpack to over 5,000 students facing financial hardship in the Boulder Valley School District.
Your challenge starts here! Create a fundraiser or join an existing one – it takes just a few seconds! You can personalize your fundraiser with a profile picture and a message about why supporting BVSD students is important to you.

See how many mismatched donations you can collect! We encourage you to mismatch donations in increments of 56 ($5.60, $56, $6.56, etc) to represent the 56 schools in Boulder Valley School District. You can track your mismatches throughout the challenge on your profile!
Encourage your fundraisers to give up a daily habit – goodbye morning coffee! – and instead donate those funds to the challenge at the end of the week. Share your progress on social media to inspire others to join!

Especially right now as inflation hits its highest level in four decades, times are tight for families and we know that many will struggle with back-to-school expenses for their children this fall.
